We were vacationing in Aruba and decided to drive through the Arikok National Park. We were told we could drive through it by the female in the visitor information area. We enjoyed the beautiful water and rock formations we saw, but dismayed when there were no signs to tell us which way we should drive to get out. We drove our van around trying many roads/paths never knowing if we were going the right way until we drove up to a chain blocking the way to drive any further. Several times we thought we may get stranded if our vehicle encountered another "bump" to the tires or undercarriage. Signage in the park would be a wonderful addition.

A visit to the national park ruined our vacation. My family of four, my mother and my mother in law took a trip to the park. Rodney, the guard at the gate told us we could go to the natural pool in the vehicle we were in..well NO WE COULDNT. The SUV we were driving hit a rut and ripped open the oil pan and we had to get a ride to the main office in the back of another couples jeep, now the rental place is trying to get 10 thousand+ for damages. We had NO intention of going to the natural pool until Rodney, who checked out our vehicle/passengers told us we could go, thanks for ruining what was supposed to be a memoralble family vacation!!

This extraordinary park is such a wonderful environmental legacy for all Arubans and for us visitors to the island. This is a true national treasure. We spent several hours observing birds, acacia shrubs and cacti. The roads are well designed. The Visitors Centre had great information on animal life, but we saw nothing on plant life or the geology of the park. Future development? Signs in both Papiamento and English were very useful (this website should also be bilingual). Thank you for this unique experience! We will return.

I am extremely happy that I did join my wife to view her birth place, she spoke so much about Aruba, but her face had such a glow after we looked at the history and listening to the video of the different places. I truly enjoyed everything that I saw, we are definitely considering our vacation with her other siblings and their families. How beautiful! I am just as excited as my wife I love it.Its truly breath taking.

I was born in Aruba with two other siblings, my dad worked at Lago Heights Oil refinery, after we left Aruba, my brother and sister have never visited our birthplace, I am now holidaying in Europe, been to London 2 weeks ago, but I woke up this morning and I had a full view of photos, the history, and also Verbal scenery of the place and me and my husband plan to visit because he is anxious to know the place I now have to convince my brother and sister and explain to them its a place to behold, I love what I saw.I enjoyed everything that I saw.

Beautiful park!! We just returned from our second trip to the island, this time we brought 18 people. We rented Jeeps, off-roaded, explored the caves, greeted the bats, and had a few drinks at the park's bar/restaurant! Such an amazing island, love it!!
